Saving For College

Financial Aid is one of the avenues students use to pay for college tuition and related expenses.  There are many different types of financial aid, some does not have to be paid back, like grants or scholarships, some that does need to be paid back, such as loans.  Below are the different types of financial aid available:

GRANTS:  Grants are a form of financial aid that do not have to be paid back and are mainly awarded to students who are in need of financial help.  Click here for more information on grants.

SCHOLARSHIPS:  A scholarship is a type of financial aid provided to a student academic achievements, financial need, or on other factors. Scholarships, like grants, do not have to be repaid.  Click here for more information on scholarships.

TUITION AND FEE WAIVERS: A fee waiver is a non-cash scholarship.  Fee waivers are available for student's who meet certain criteria.  Click here for a list of fee waivers available:

WORK STUDY: Work study is a federal program in which students work at a job available on their campus and earn a wage.  Click here for more information on work study:
